Safety Concern / Suggestion for Flood Preparedness Just an idea for the HOA to consider: habang hindi pa malakas ang ulan at bumaba na ang tubig, this may be a good window to prepare the subdivision for the upcoming rains and possible typhoons currently being reported in the news. We have already made the necessary preparations for our own household, but subdivision-wide flooding requires a different level of preparation, particularly from the HOA and maintenance team. With parts of Pampanga still experiencing rainfall warnings, the ground remaining saturated, and forecasts indicating continued rainfall in the coming weeks, there is still a possibility that water levels may rise again quickly during prolonged or heavy rainfall. One particular concern is the flooding at the subdivision gate and access area. Even when there is little to no flooding inside the subdivision, residents can still become effectively stranded because vehicles cannot safely enter or exit through the flooded gate. While a permanent solution may understandably require more time, planning, and resources, perhaps the HOA can consider preparing a temporary or "band-aid" access solution that would allow vehicles to pass through safely during manageable flood levels while a long-term solution for the gate-area flooding is being studied and implemented. At the very least, having a contingency plan for maintaining safe access during flooding would be helpful for residents, especially in case of emergencies. I have also attached the price of an emergency boat that I saw at ACE Hardware, in case the HOA would consider having one available as part of the subdivision's emergency preparedness and evacuation resources. This is not intended to cause alarm or demand immediate action, but simply a safety-focused suggestion to be proactive while there is still a window to prepare, rather than having to respond only once flooding becomes severe. I previously shared this concern in our HOA group chat and am submitting it here as well to ensure that it formally reaches the appropriate HOA officials. For transparency and residents' peace of mind, we would also appreciate an update on any active flood-preparedness, drainage, gate-access, and emergency measures already being undertaken or planned by the HOA.
